Mongolia Signs its Fourth Country Programme Framework (CPF) for 2022–2027

Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren, Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia, and Hua Liu, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation, signed Mongolia’s Country Programme Framework (CPF) for the period of 2022–2027 on 8 April and 26 April 2022 respectively. A CPF is the frame of reference for the medium-term planning of technical cooperation between a Member State and the IAEA and identifies priority areas where the transfer of nuclear technology and technical cooperation resources will be directed to support national development goals.

Mongolia has been an IAEA Member State since 1973. Its 2022–2027 CPF identifies seven priority areas:

  1. Food and Agriculture
  2. Human Health
  3. Water and Environment
  4. Nuclear Science and Technology
  5. Nuclear and Radiation Safety and Security
  6. Energy and Industry
  7. Mining and Processing
