Applications Open for 10th IAEA-ICTP Nuclear Knowledge Management School

The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will organize their Nuclear Knowledge Management (NKM) School for a 10th time this year.

Taking place from 25 to 29 August 2014 at the ICTP headquarters in Trieste, Italy, the NKM School is an intensive course aimed at providing education and training in developing and implementing knowledge management programmes in nuclear science and technology organizations. Young professionals working in the nuclear field in Member States of the UN, UNESCO and the IAEA are welcome to apply.

Topics covered at the School will include fundamentals of nuclear knowledge and its management, developing policies and strategies in managing nuclear knowledge, human resources development, risk of knowledge loss, and knowledge transfer.

The School is a unique opportunity to benefit from presentations on NKM by top specialists in the field, and to share views and experiences with experts and with international peers.
