Front End of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Webinar Series

Webinar Series on Uranium Exploration, Mining and Processing, Decommissioning and Remediation of Uranium Production Facilities, Nuclear Fuel Engineering and Development, and Nuclear Fuel Cycle Facilities’ Operation

This webinar series focuses on nuclear front-end topics: uranium exploration, mining and processing, decommissioning and remediation of uranium production facilities, nuclear fuel engineering and development, and nuclear fuel cycle facilities’ operation.

It supports IAEA Member States in meeting the challenge to ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable uranium production cycle activities and nuclear fuel engineering and fuel cycle activities in the front end.

With 11 webinars, the series aims to provide an opportunity to Member States’ relevant organizations and individuals to learn about the uranium production cycle and nuclear fuel engineering and nuclear fuel cycle facilities’ operation in the front end. To discuss challenging issues in implementation of programmes that support these activities and to learn about good practices and new IAEA publications on the topic.

These webinars will enable many participants to learn about and discuss relevant topics at both the strategic and operational levels, using global expertise and in-depth information based on experiences.

Participation in the webinars is free of charge and open to all. The webinars will feature IAEA and Member State expert speakers who will present a diversity of experience on topics in the front end of the nuclear fuel cycle.
