Outreach and communication

Ocean Acidification International Coordination Centre (OA-ICC)

One of the OA-ICC’s key objectives is to facilitate the sharing of information on ocean acidification and make resources available to stakeholders and policy-makers. Key tools include the website and news stream

The OA-ICC news stream provides the latest in ocean acidification related research, events, news and activities. Subscribing to the news stream is a great way to stay up-to-date with everything going on in the world of ocean acidification. News summaries are sent out Monday through Friday and daily posts are also tweeted at OA-ICC twitter.

The OA-ICC and partners actively work to raise awareness about ocean acidification at international fora such as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conferences of the Parties (COP) and the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) discussions.

The OA-ICC works with research programmes and organisations around the world to effectively communicate on ocean acidification to a variety of audiences. For example, the OA-ICC supports the Communities of Ocean Action on ocean acidification by bringing together members to encourage further action to address ocean acidification through the voluntary commitments (VC's).
