Electronic resources

The IAEA Library provides a comprehensive collection of electronic resources in nuclear science and technology and its related areas, including access to more than 60 databases and thousands of electronic journals as well as full-text subscription articles. A brief summary of each resource is provided below. Please note that access to certain resources is only available within library premises. In addition, the user agrees to respect and comply with all copyright notices as applicable to the various resources.

ABI/Inform

Business research database featuring economic conditions, business trends, management theory and techniques, accounting and finance. Accessible within the IAEA Lise Meitner Library premises.

ADAMS

U.S. National Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) online repository of official agency records including publicly available text and image documents.

Agricola

One of the world's largest and most accessible agricultural information collections from the U.S. National Agricultural Library.

AIP Conference Proceedings

American Institute of Physics' complete collection of proceedings from various conferences of physics societies published from 1975 onwards and access to full-text proceedings published from 2000 onwards.
Accessible within the IAEA Lise Meitner Library premises.

Analytical Abstracts

Records from dozens of journals in analytical science, covering a wide spectrum of topics from materials science to food analysis, and from pharmacology to environmental monitoring. Accessible within the IAEA Lise Meitner Library premises.

ArXiV.org

An e-print service in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance and statistics.

ASME Conference Proceedings

Full-text access to conference proceedings from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers from 2008 onwards. Conference topics cover subject areas of interest to mechanical engineers and associated disciplines. Accessible within the IAEA Lise Meitner Library premises.

BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine)

Search engine for open access academic web resources, operated by the Bielefeld University Library, Germany.

BioMed Central

Peer-reviewed open access academic journals in the health sciences, including biology, medicine and health.

Business Source Premier

Full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles. This database provides full text back to 1886, and searchable cited references back to 1998. Covers all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Accessible within the IAEA Lise Meitner Library premises.

ChemSpider

Free chemical structure database, which provides text and structure search access to millions of structures from hundreds of data sources.

Department of Energy OpenNet System

Access to hundreds of thousands of bibliographic references and recently declassified documents, including the Manhattan District History, a 36 volume history of the Manhattan Project.

DESY PUBDB

Publication database of all research work carried out at DESY (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron) in Germany, which is considered one of the world’s leading particle accelerator centres.

EBSCO Federated Search

Provides full-text access to several research databases, including Academic Search Complete and Inspec.
Accessible within the IAEA Lise Meitner Library premises.

Enerdata (Power Plant Tracker, Global Energy & CO2 Data, and EnerFuture)

A comprehensive and up-to-date energy and power generation database which also provides instant access to energy and emission forecasts.

EUR-Lex

Access to the authentic Official Journal of the European Union, EU law, preparatory acts, international agreements, EFTA documents, summaries of EU legislation and other public documents in the 24 official EU languages.

European XFEL

Publication database of the European X-ray Free Electron Laser (XFEL), an X-ray research laser facility in Germany.

EverySpec

Free access to military, U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Energy, NASA, federal and government standards, specifications, handbooks and documents.

Factiva

Current news from thousands of sources providing content from 200 countries in 26 languages.

Accessible within the IAEA Lise Meitner Library premises. Access is strictly for IAEA staff.

FAOSTAT

Access to food and agriculture data for over 245 countries and territories, covering all Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation's regional groupings from 1961 to the most recent year available.
