Whether they concern patients or professional staff, challenges continue to grow in the field of medical radiation. Radiation accidents and over-exposures in medicine have led to many injuries and even deaths, among patients and medical professionals alike.
The IAEA is working with its Member States in the African region, and with regional partners, in order to train staff, build safety capacity, and fournish safer medical equipment.
