Technical Meeting on High Level Waste Package Designs and Emplacement Schemes

Objectives

This event is being organized under the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA's) Underground Research Facilities Network for Geological Disposal (URF Network). The URF Network establishes a community of practice and learning for geological disposal. It provides its members a platform to assess and share best practices in developing, evaluating, and implementing geological disposal solutions for intermediate level waste, high level waste and spent nuclear fuel.

This event aims to provide a forum for the exchange of such knowledge with a focus on the high level waste package designs and emplacement schemes in a geological disposal facility.
