The December 1995 IAEA Bulletin edition focuses on nuclear power safety. Featured articles report on processes initiated by the IAEA to improve the safety of existing nuclear power plants as well as on co-operation on the safety design of future plants. The IAEA also sets criteria and offers international peer review for safe radioactive waste management and disposal. The Agency supports nuclear fusion research, including its safety and environmental targets. An article also examines the assessment of nuclear power and other energy options in the climate change debate. This edition includes an issue of Inside Technical Co-operation, which covers several of the current IAEAÕs Technical Cooperation projects.
