How to Contribute
Governments, governmental institutions and international organizations that are considering an extrabudgetary or in-kind contribution to support the nuclear security programme are encouraged to closely consult with the Secretariat prior to making an official pledge.
To initiate the process a pledge letter to the IAEA is required, indicating that this is a contribution to NSF and including the name and contact details of the Member State or organization making the contribution, as well as the amount or the nature of the contribution.
The IAEA will initiate the formal acceptance process for the contribution and respond to the initial pledge letter.
Contributions to the NSF by other partners (e.g. industry) go through a vetting process.
Contributions are particularly invited to support:
- The Nuclear Security Programme.
- The IAEA Nuclear Security Training and Demonstration Centre (NSTDC).
- Selected projects addressing prioritized nuclear security needs from Member States. The implementation of these projects requires extrabudgetary funding and resource mobilization efforts. The list of those projects can be provided to Member States considering a pledge upon request.
