IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano visited Indonesia early this week and held high level meetings with senior officials covering a range of topics on nuclear science and technology. He noted Indonesia’s strong support to IAEA activities to help countries achieve their socioeconomic development goals, and the importance of sharing expertise and best practices in this specialised field of technology with other Member States.
During his visit, Mr Amano was also invited to speak at the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Bogor Agricultural University on Nuclear Technology for Sustainable Development, and the Executive Meeting for Regulators and Licensees in Medical and Industrial Purposes.
