Description
The global outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 impacted many industrial activities including the operation of research reactors. The IAEA in cooperation with its Member States is closely monitoring the situation since early phases of the pandemic and has collected essential operating experience at research reactors in this respect. The objective of this IAEA webinar is to share the experience gained with the international nuclear community to further improve the safety of nuclear installations worldwide.
This webinar will discuss some of the challenges faced by research reactors during the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures which have and are being adopted by operating organizations and by regulatory bodies to ensure safe and reliable operation.
