Building a More Inclusive Emergency Preparedness and Response Work Environment: Women Leaders in Nuclear
WINEPRI and IAEA-IEC Webinar
Background
The Women in Nuclear in Emergency Preparation and Response Initiative (WiNEPRI) was launched in September 2021, in collaboration with the National Center for Nuclear Energy, Sciences and Technology (CNESTEN) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The aim was to promote diversity in gender within emergency preparedness and response (EPR) in case of nuclear and/or radiological emergencies. The goal is to highlight the key roles women play in developing innovative and sustainable solutions.
This webinar on “Building a More Inclusive Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) Work Environment: Women Leaders in Nuclear” follows on from the launch of the first webinar in 2022 and puts a spotlight on the important and critical area of inclusivity focusing on gender balance in EPR.
This webinar aims to empower attendees with knowledge and tools to address gender-specific challenges in emergency preparedness and response (EPR) and to showcase the positive impact of a diverse and inclusive workforce on building a more effective EPR culture.
Participation
The webinar is open to members and partners of Women in Nuclear Global, IAEA member states, and representatives from relevant agencies, organizations, and companies involved in EPR, as well as those leading global gender and diversity initiatives. Please share this announcement with colleagues and contacts in the EPR field who have relevant experience and expertise, and who would benefit from attending the webinar.
Panellists with presentations/ discussions:
This webinar will feature a panel discussion from the Women in Nuclear (WiN Global) and the IAEA, who will share their journeys to success in the nuclear industry, offering insights to the unique challenges they have faced, and the strategies used to turn obstacles into opportunities.
