Olivier Rouvière obtained his M.D. in Radiology in 1992 and his Ph. D. in Medical Imaging in 2003 from Claude Bernard University in Lyon, France. He became Professor of Radiology at Claude Bernard University in 2006 and Head of the Department of Imaging of the Edouard Herriot Hospital in Lyon in 2012. He has specialized in Genitourinary and Vascular diagnostic and interventional imaging. His main field of research is prostate cancer imaging using ultrasound-based approaches and multiparametric MRI. He is a member of the European Association of Urology Prostate Cancer guidelines panel since 2014, and the President of the French Society of Genitourinary Imaging since 2017.
