However, most commonly used techniques are applied for evaluation of obstructive renal disease or renal infections and its consequences, skeletal diseases, digestive tract disorders, and to a lesser extent other conditions such as oncologic, neurologic, or endocrine. Nuclear techniques are safe, non-invasive, well tolerated and associated with low radiation, and are usually applied without the need for anaesthesia or other additional manoeuvres.
