Description
This CRP aims to strengthen international modelling and safety assessment capabilities for ex-vessel molten corium behaviour and cooling (EVCC) in severe accidents. Building on the outcomes of the CRP on in-vessel melt retention (IVMR) and post-Fukushima initiatives, the project will foster coordinated research to improve predictive models, benchmark key phenomena, consolidate experimental data, and prepare training resources to support Member States' safety strategies.
