Amadeu Da Conceição, Ambassador and Resident Representative of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Mozambique to the IAEA, and Dazhu Yang, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation, signed Mozambique’s Country Programme Framework (CPF) for the period of 2019–2023 on 18 September 2019. Mozambique has been an IAEA Member State since 2009. Its 2019–2023 CPF identifies six priority areas:

  1. Nuclear and radiation safety
  2. Food and agriculture
  3. Human health
  4. Water resource management
  5. Marine and coastal environment
  6. Energy planning
