On the final day of the weeklong 60th IAEA General Conference, a number of resolutions were adopted to further strengthen the IAEA’s work in the areas of nuclear science and technology, safety, security, safeguards and technical cooperation. See the article summarizing the resolutions.
Eleven countries have been newly elected to serve on the 35-member IAEA Board of Governors for the period 2016-2018.

At the Regulatory Cooperation Forum Plenary Meeting, delegates highlighted the importance of having robust and integrated management systems, and shared knowledge and experience gained in regulatory infrastructure development and relevant support activities.
A new web app designed to help medical practitioners’ better treat cardiovascular diseases was launched at the side event, the Role of Nuclear Techniques in the Management of Patients with Cardiovascular Disease.
