IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano delivered a statement to the Agency's Board of Governors, encouraging Member States to participate in the International Conference on Nuclear Security: Enhancing Global Efforts, 1-5 July 2013, and said that he hopes "that Ministers will use the Conference Statement to send a strong message on the need to address nuclear security and express their support for the Agency's role as the global platform for strengthening nuclear security."
