Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting on Director General Appointment, Starting 26 March 2009

The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a special meeting at the Agency´s Headquarters at 10:30 on Thursday, 26 March 2009, in the IAEA Boardroom, C04, in the Vienna International Centre. The special meeting is reserved for the selection procedure for the appointment of the Director General of the IAEA. The two candidates for the post of Director General are Mr. Yukiya Amano of Japan and Mr. Abdul Samad Minty of South Africa, and the balloting procedure will be conducted in closed meeting. For further details on the selection procedure, please refer to IAEA Board to Meet on Director General Appointment. The meeting is closed to the press. Photo-Op: As this is a closed board meeting, there is no scheduled photo opportunity at the beginning of the morning session on 26 March. Possible opportunities during the day will be announced on the spot. Press Working Area: Journalists may use the press working area on C03 (for print press, radio and TV) starting from 09:00 on Thursday, 26 March 2009.
