Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting, 2 March 2015

The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:30 CET on Monday, 2 March 2015 in Boardroom C of the C-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

The Board of Governors meeting is closed to the press.

Director General Yukiya Amano will open the meeting with an introductory statement. His statement will be released to journalists after delivery and posted on the IAEA website. Director General Amano is also expected to hold a News Conference at 14:30 CET on Monday, 2 March 2015, which will take place in Room C0225A in the C-Building (and not, as at previous Board Meetings, in the press room in the M-Building).

Live video streaming of the News Conference will be available online from 14:30 (no login needed). Please note that the video stream will be broadcast on a view-only channel.

Board discussions are expected to include the Nuclear Safety Review 2015, the Report of the Technical Assistance and Cooperation Committee, and nuclear verification in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Iran and Syria.

There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each session of the Board meeting, morning and afternoon.

Press Working Area:

Room C0225A in the C-Building will be available as a press working area starting from 8:30 a.m. on 2 March 2015. Access to Room C0225A will be sign-posted.

The area outside Board Room C will also be set up for the media, with high capacity WiFi available (no password required).

All journalists are requested to inform the IAEA Press Office of their plans to attend. Journalists with permanent credentials to the VIC need no additional credentials. We encourage those journalists who do not yet have permanent accreditation, to request it at UNIS Vienna.

Others should contact Theresa Mackay for accreditation. Please email press@iaea.org or call [+43-1] 2600-22048 or [+43-1] 2600-21273.
