How to contribute to ReNuAL
Monetary contributions
- The procedure begins when a donor initiates the contribution process by delivering a pledge letter to the IAEA. These letters should be addressed to the IAEA’s Director General, to the Deputy Director General of the Agency’s Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications, to ‘Whom it may concern,’ or to the IAEA, and should include the following information:
- Name and contact details of the Member State organization or donor making the contribution;
- A clear indication that the contribution will be in the form of a cash contribution, and the amount to be contributed; and
- The purpose of the contribution (for example to support the ReNuAL project).
- The IAEA will initiate the formal acceptance process for the contribution and respond to the initial pledge letter, explaining the outcome of the acceptance process and communicating additional information regarding the implementation of the pledge, potentially discussing terms and conditions.
- In the event that the pledge letter includes conditional usage requirements, an Agreement may need to be drafted and signed by the donor and the IAEA. If it is known by the donor in advance that specific conditions are required, a draft agreement may be sent in lieu of a pledge letter.
- Pending the positive outcome of the acceptance process, the contribution may be transferred to and received by the IAEA, completing the process.
