International School of Nuclear Law (ISNL) - IAEA Financial Support

The International School of Nuclear Law (ISNL) was established by the University of Montpellier in co-operation with the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) in 2001. The School benefits from the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency. For detailed information on the ISNL, please visit the NEA website.

IAEA financial support

The IAEA awards financial support to a limited number of professionals from its Member States that are eligible to receive financial support under the IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme. The selection is based on the particular interest and involvement of the applicant in the field of nuclear law.

The list of TC Programme recipient countries and territories is available here.

The deadline for the receipt of applications for IAEA financial support for the 2019 session of the ISNL (26 August to 6 September 2019) is 31 March 2019. Applications received after this deadline and applications, which have not been submitted through InTouch will not be considered.

Should you have any additional questions regarding IAEA financial support for the 2019 session of the ISNL, please feel free to contact us by e-mail.

Application procedure

If you are interested in applying for IAEA financial support with respect to your participation in the ISNL, you are kindly asked to submit, in addition to your ISNL application form to be submitted to the NEA, an application directly to the IAEA.

Applications for financial support should be submitted online through the InTouch+ system. In case this is not possible, applications may be submitted on the Nomination Form for Training Course available on the IAEA website. Applications should be linked to technical cooperation project INT0096 – Establishing and Enhancing National Legal Frameworks for the Safe, Secure and Peaceful Use of Nuclear Energy and Ionizing Radiation, EVT1807118.

Completed forms should be endorsed by relevant national authorities and sent to IAEA (E-Mail: Official.Mail@iaea.org), through the official channels, i.e. the National Liaison Officer, not later than 31 March 2019. Please be advised that applications received after this date or which have not been routed through the established official channels cannot be considered. Only applicants having submitted an admission application to the NEA will be considered.
