Technical Cooperation Meetings

To ensure participation and avoid many events taking place in parallel during the week of the General Conference (GC), the following Technical Cooperation Meeting is scheduled before the week of the General Conference:

1.    51st RCA General Conference Meeting 

This event will enable discussions by the national representatives under the Regional Co-operative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology (RCA).

This event will be held on Friday, 23 September 2022, from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. in Conference Room CR1, C Building, second floor.

The following Technical Cooperation Meetings are scheduled during the week of the General Conference:

2.    RCA Ministerial Level Meeting

At this ministerial-level celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Regional Co-operative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology (RCA) (1972–2022), senior officials from RCA State Parties will review the development of the RCA over the past five decades, and demonstrate their continued commitment and determination to build an RCA that is more creative and innovative, more effective and efficient, and more socio-economically impactful.

This event will be held on Monday, 26 September 2022, from 2.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. in Conference Room CR4, C Building, seventh floor.

3.     ARASIA Board of Representatives Meeting

This event will enable discussions by the Board of Representatives of the Arab States in Asia for Research, Development and Training related to Nuclear Science and Technology (ARASIA).

This event will be held on Tuesday, 27 September 2022, from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. in Conference Room M6, M Building, ground floor.

4.     XXIII Meeting of the Board of ARCAL Representatives

This annual meeting of the Board of Regional Co-operation Agreement for the Promotion of Nuclear Science and Technology in Latin America and the Caribbean (ARCAL) Representatives will provide an opportunity to review the achievements ARCAL in 2022 and approve the activities for 2023.

This event will be held on Tuesday, 27 September 2022, from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in Conference Room CR7, C Building, seventh floor.

6.     Meeting of AFRA Representatives

This annual meeting of African Regional Co-operative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology (AFRA) Representatives will provide an opportunity to review the 2021 AFRA Annual Report and endorse the recommendations of the 33rd meeting of the AFRA Technical Working Group.

This event will be held on Thursday, 29 September 2022, from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. in Conference Room CR4, C Building, seventh floor.

5.     Europe NLO Meeting

This event will enable National Liaison Officers (NLOs) and Member States from Europe and Central Asia to discuss programme implementation and planning.

This event will be held on Thursday, 29 September 2022, from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in Conference Room CR2, C Building, second floor.

The event will be also accessible virtually.
