In Africa, where 282 million people face food insecurity due to climate change challenges, only 12% of the needed climate financing is available, hindering efforts to address the continent's vulnerabilities. This event will highlight the pivotal role of innovative approaches to achieving resilient food systems in Africa in the context of climate change. Speakers will touch upon key aspects needed to build climate-resilient food systems including scaling up climate finance, community resilience, promoting climate-smart agriculture, and integrating gender- and youth-sensitive approaches.
