The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency has officially opened new laboratories, named after his late predecessor Yukiya Amano. The facility will allow the IAEA to step up its vital scientific work fighting diseases like COVID-19 and tackling climate change issues. The modern building will house three laboratories from the joint division of the IAEA and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
