IAEA Informed that there has been no Damage to the Nuclear Power Plants on the East Coast of Japan following 7.1 magnitude earthquake

The Nuclear Regulatory Authority of Japan has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that there has been no damage to the nuclear plants Fukushima Daiichi, Fukushima Daini and Onagawa, following the 7.1 magnitude earthquake of Saturday 13 February, which occurred at a depth of 60 km, some 90 km off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture at 23:08 local time (14:08 UTC).

The IAEA remains in contact with the Nuclear Regulatory Authority in Japan for any updates on the matter.
