This webinar, focusing on the management of Disused High Activity Sources, is the 16th in the IAEA Back End Wednesday Webinars series.International experts summarize a recent technical meeting that is a part of developing a new IAEA Nuclear Energy Series (NES) document “Management of Category 1 to 2 Disused Sealed Radioactive Sources-Approaches and Practical Experiences”.The new NES will take information from the IAEA-TECDOC-1301 “Management of spent high activity radioactive sources (SHARS)” and the recent technical meeting to develop a more comprehensive document. The Webinar includes a discussion on new technical concepts, reference designs, engineering designs, and integration with final disposal or storage options.
