IAEA to Brief on Fukushima Nuclear Accident, 12 April 2011
IAEA officials will hold a briefing today, Tuesday, 12 April 2011, for journalists to discuss the nuclear emergency in Japan and to address questions related to the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale (INES). Japan today elevated the INES rating it has assigned to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.
The briefing will begin at 14:30 UTC/16:30 CET on Tuesday, 12 April 2011, in the Press Room of the M-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

The IAEA's media briefings on the Fukushima nuclear power plant are now available via audio streaming. The audio stream is not an interactive channel. Its purpose is to provide the media an opportunity to listen to the press conference. It cannot be delivered in broadcast quality. Satellite trucks may be parked on VIC plaza (see below).
