How to Apply
Interested applicants may inquire about employment opportunities at the IAEA at any time. To be assured of consideration for a specific position, however, they must apply in writing following the issuance of an official Vacancy Notice.
Vacancy Notices are issued months before a position becomes available at the Agency. They are accessible over the Internet at the IAEA's Web site. Copies of announcements also are sent to all Member States, typically to the Atomic Energy Commissions, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, other international organizations, universities and other educational institutions.
All applicants must complete and submit an application by post or by using the Online Job Application form accessible here.
Please do not send your application via multiple routes. It is not necessary at this stage to send copies of qualifications, previous employment contracts, entire publications, etc.
If applying for a specific advertised post, applications must be received before the Closing Date as stated on the Vacancy Notice. Applications received after the application deadline will not be considered
Interested applicants who prefer not to apply on line, may download the IAEA Personal History Form by clicking here.
Applications should be sent to the Division of Human Resources, IAEA, Wagramer Strasse 5, P.O. Box 100, A-1400 Vienna, Austria. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application in due course. Applicants who do not comply with the aforementioned application guidelines or do not meet the essential requirements specified in this Vacancy Notice will not be considered.
