Press Arrangements for 63rd IAEA General Conference, 16-20 September 2019

The 63rd Annual Regular Session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) General Conference, #IAEAGC, will convene from 16 to 20 September 2019 at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Vienna, Austria. High-ranking officials and representatives from IAEA Member States will consider and make decisions on a range of issues pertaining to the work and the budget of the Agency.

This year’s Scientific Forum, to be hosted on the sidelines of the General Conference on 17 and 18 September, is entitled A Decade of Action on Cancer Control and the Way Forward.

All plenary sessions of the General Conference and the Scientific Forum will be open to the media and streamed live on the IAEA website (no login required).

Most of the main conference events will take place in the M-Building of the VIC, except for the Scientific Forum, which will take place in Boardroom D of the C-Building.

The Press Point at the entrance to the M-Building will be staffed throughout the week. A media briefing and working area equipped with WiFi (no password required) will be available.

Journalists with permanent credentials to the VIC need no additional credentials. However, please email press@iaea.org to register for General Conference alerts of press events and to receive any other related information.

Accreditation will be at the Gate 1 entrance to the VIC. Journalists will be required to present a valid press ID at the accreditation counter, which will be open from 08:00 - 16:00 on Monday, 16 September, and 08:00 - 14:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday, 17 and 18 September.

All journalists will be required to clear security each day at Gate 1.

Only satellite trucks are allowed to park at the VIC Memorial Plaza. Drivers of satellite trucks should provide advance notice of their names, affiliations and vehicle license plate numbers to Michelle Gruensteidl at M.Gruensteidl@iaea.org.
