IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano today opened the International Conference on the IAEA Technical Cooperation Programme: Sixty Years and Beyond – Contributing to Development. In his statement he said that "transferring nuclear technology to developing countries is core IAEA business". The conference is being attended by officials from 150 countries, including ministers and heads of state.
