  • 04 July 2016 – INIS added to the website of the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the IAEA. Information about INIS, including links to its website, the repository search, and the INIS Thesaurus will be used for new members of the Permanent Mission as part of the introduction to the IAEA.    Read more →

  • 27 May 2016 – Fukushima Nuclear Accident Archive (FNAA). In order to collect and preserve comprehensive information regarding the nuclear accident that took place at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in 2011, and ensure access to such information, the Library of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) developed the Fukushima Nuclear Accident Archive (FNAA).    Read more →

45th INIS Anniversary Newsletter

2015 marks the 45th anniversary since the creation of INIS. INIS has come a long way since the IAEA Board of Governors approved the International Nuclear Information System in 1969. Officially, INIS started operations in January 1970, but it wasn't until May 1970 that its first product, the INIS Atomindex, was issued. This date is considered the 'birth' of INIS. This special issue of the Nuclear Information Newsletter is devoted to the first forty-five years of INIS.    Read more →
