AIMS publishes article on the INIS Collection Search
20 March 2014 - Agricultural Information Management Standards (AIMS), a space created by FAO for accessing and discussing agricultural information management standards, tools and methodologies, published an article written by D. Savic, Head of NIS. The article, entitled Using Google Search Appliance (GSA) to Search Digital Library Collections: A Case Study of the INIS Collection Search, iis based on the presentation which he gave at the conference on Faster, Smarter and Richer: Reshaping the library catalogue (FSR 2014), which was organized by the Associazione Italiana Biblioteche (AIB) and Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana in Rome, Italy.
It focuses on the experience of the International Nuclear Information System (INIS) in using Google Search Appliance (GSA) to search digital library collections at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). It can be accessed at aims.fao.org or directly from goo.gl/E2ytym.
