The 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Climate Change (CoP-15) in Copenhagen was the fifth to take place after entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol and thus also served as the fifth Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol
The brochure Climate Change and Nuclear Power 2009, which was distributed at CoP-15, was a success. This booklet summarizes nuclear power’s potential role in mitigating global climate change and its contribution to other development and environment challenges, as well as its current status, including the issues of cost, safety, waste management and non-proliferation.
