Nine scientific conferences, symposia and seminars will be convened by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 2001

5. International Symposium on Isotopic Tools for Monitoring Nutritional Status Vienna, Austria in Nutrition and Development Programmes (integral part of the 17th International Congress of Nutrition) Austria Center, 27-31 August
6. International Conference on Topical Issues in Nuclear Safety Vienna, Austria, 3-6 September
7. Symposium on International Safeguards: Verification and Nuclear Material Security Vienna, Austria, 29 October-1November
8. International Conference on Radioactive Waste from Non-Power Applications - Sharing the Experience Malta, 5-9 November
9. International Symposium on Utilization of Low-Energy Accelerators São Paulo, Brazil, 26-30 November

Participants are designated either by the Government of a Member State of the IAEA or the co-sponsoring organization, or by an international organization invited to participate. If individuals wish to attend, they are admitted only as observers. All meetings are open to the press.

Major IAEA meetings usually result in the publication of summary outcomes, key issues papers and/or proceedings. Requests for publications should be sent directly to the Division of Conference and Documents Services, IAEA, Vienna, or can be obtained from the designated sales agents in Member States (list available on request).
