Sixty-eight delegates from sixty two member countries or member organizations participated in the 35th Consultative Meeting of INIS Liaison Officers, held on the 28th- 29th of October 2010 in Vienna. The meeting was devoted to the 40 years anniversary of INIS and directions for the future, as well as INIS input and production or the use and effectiveness of INIS.

Over 3.3 million bibliographic records and more than 280,000 full-text non-conventional documents are now fully indexed and searchable on the Internet using Google-based technology, thanks to a new INIS web search interface launched on the 18th of April 2011. Following a recommendation of the 35th ILO meeting, the Google Search Appliance is now used as the underlining search technology for the entire INIS collection.

The International Atomic Energy Agency organised, in cooperation with the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and hosted by the Centre National de L' Energie des Sciences et des Techniques Nucléaires (CNESTEN), the Regional (AFRA) Training Course on the International Nuclear Information System (INIS), in Rabat, Morocco, from 16 - 27 May 2011.

On the 20th – 21st of October 2011, the 13th INIS/ETDE Joint Technical Committee Meeting will be held in Vienna. Delegates from more than a dozen ETDE and INIS Member States are expected to participate in this two-day meeting.

The INIS Training Seminar will be held at IAEA Headquarters in Vienna, Austria on 14 - 16 November 2011. The training seminar will focus on INIS input preparation, the utilization of INIS products and services, and on ways to promote the system to users in member states.
