After many months of hard work reviewing more than 200 applications, the UNWG announced the projects approved for charity funding in 2010. A total of €204,488 will be distributed to 35 projects in 31 countries. This amount was raised by members of the UNWG in 2009 through a variety of activities. The announcement was made on 6 October during an exhibition of these projects at the Rotunda of the Vienna International Center. |

| Based on available funds, the final list of projects to be funded is submitted to the UNWG Board and General Membership for approval. The Charity Review Committee also maintains communication with approved charities to ensure successful implementation of the projects. |
The conditions for funding are: • Maximum funding allowed is € 7,000.00 or equivalent in US dollars. Funding of a specific part of a project may be approved. • Funds may be used only for the project presented and approved. The Charity Review Committee must approve any change in the utilisation of funds in advance. • The Charity Review Committee monitors the projects to ensure that funds are used for the intended purpose. On completion of the project, a written report is submitted to the UNWG by the organisation, including a financial accounting of fund utilization. |
