The UNWG Bazaar is a celebration of the intermingling of women from diverse cultures. Women of different religion and countries have found in the Women’s Guild a shared purpose: we all want to help the children of the World. The Bazaar is multi-faceted: |
Tombola: We have a group of ladies who work hard all year to get donations for this event. Thanks to the donation from the Austrian and internatinal business, there are many fabulous prizes. Surprise Corner is a smaller offshoot of Tombola and provides lots of smaller prizes. >>Tombola Winning numbers |

National Stalls: Stalls from several dozen countries will sell their national products, beautiful gift items which are not available anywhere else in Vienna. You will find packaged food specific to different countries, bottled wine, cut flowers, teas, perfumes, jams, marmalades and chutneys bringing the essence of far off lands to Vienna. |
Restaurant Stalls: Food from the four corners of the World! You can eat raw herring from the Netherlands, wash it down with German beer and follow it up with a nip of Scots Malt Whisky. Visit Korea and eat the fried delicacies of the East served up by beautiful ladies dressed in their national costumes. It is difficult to mention all of the 40-plus countries but you could eat curry from India and Pavlova from Australia and still have room for a few Caparinhos or just Anejo Rum from South America (we have eight South American Countries represented!!) |

White Elephant and Second Hand Books: We sell lots of high quality second hand goods which are donated to us during the year, sorted and then stored for Bazaar. We get some beautiful goods and lots of very useful goods – well worth a visit and a browse. The book stalls have books in a variety of languages and are an incredibly popular venue; aficionados of every genre are catered for here. |
Charity Stalls: As well as raising money for the charities the UNWG selects every year we invite charities to run their own stalls to make money for themselves at our Bazaar. The charities which are represented in this section are Austrian run charities. Craft Stalls: These stalls are run on a commercial basis and pay a set fee to the UNWG. Many different crafts are available and they are different from year to year. |

Entertainment & Cultural Show:
The United Nations brings a huge number of people from all over the world to Vienna and our entertainment highlights this variety. We have National Costumes on parade and of course our talented participants perform their own National Dance and National Music. We also have the talented youngsters who showcase global, modern music. Our entertainment programme draws crowds for the free show and we hope that they also do their holiday shopping and partake of the International Cuisine. |
Every year we try to make more money than ever, not because we are competing with previous Bazaars but because we are struggling to make the world a better place for children. We give small amounts of money to a large number of charities and we try to spread our donations right the way round the world. Make donations for the prestige of your Company or your Country but make donations for the children. Come and join us for the fun, for the games but most of all for the children. |
