Gitti Rattay will present Mexihkas, a holistic art of healing, with its roots in Mexico, where it was used by the Olmecs, Toltecs and Mexihkas. The knowledge is little known outside of Mexico for 500 years as the elders wanted to avoid persecution by the Spanish invaders and to guarantee the continuation of the tradition. In 1970 the Council of the Elders decided that the time was ready to go public again and since then Mexihka Pactli has been taught openly. Since 2002 Mexihka Pactli is taught in Europe, the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Gitti Rattay has studied Medical Anthropology at the University of Vienna and has lived in Mexico for 8 years where she studied and worked with the tradition of the Mexihkas.
