Determining the Identity and Quantity of the Residues
The challenge of residues analysis must not be underestimated. Tissues such as bile, faeces, liver and kidney are extremely complex biological matrices from which trace levels (typically between 1 part in a billion to 1 part in a million) of drugs and metabolites must be extracted. Purification of the sample is essential to achieve detection at these levels.
