    The IAEA and the Nuclear Fusion journal invited authors of the Sorrento and Yokohama Conferences to submit manuscripts based on their coference papers for possible publication in Nuclear Fusion. About 130 authors of the Sorrento Conference used this possibility and published an extended version of their paper in Nuclear Fusion. In case of the Yokohama Conference, special issues were published containing selected conference contributions.
