The IAEA-CU-2007-04 ALMERA proficiency test on the determination of  radionuclides in water, soil and vegetation

The objective of this proficiency test is to evaluate the performance of the ALMERA network laboratories performing measurements of radionuclides in soil, vegetation and water matrices. Participation in this proficiency test is voluntary and at no cost to the laboratories.

List of analytes(tentative):

Soil and water  : Mn-54, Co-57, Co-60, Zn-65, Cs-134, Cs-137, Pb-210, Am-241

Spinach            : K-40, Sr-90, Cs-137, U-234, U-238, Pu-239+240, Pu-238, Am-241

Deadlines (tentative):

                     Dispatch of samples                By the first week of November 2007

   Reporting results deadlines 

    For gamma emitting radionuclides:
            Rapid reporting:         1 day from the date of sample receipt confirmed by DHL
            Long term reporting:         30 January 2008 

    For Sr-90, U-234, U-238, Pu-238, Pu-239+240, Am-241
            Rapid reporting: 1 week from the date of sample receipt confirmed by DHL
            Long term reporting: 2 February 2008
