Delivery Conditions

Packaging and shipment

Reference materials are delivered in packaging which conforms to international guidelines1,2. The type of the packaging material is determined by the nature of the substance(s) being transported (toxicity, radiotoxicity, activity, propensity to disperse, etc.). The package consists of a cardboard box (15 x 15 x 30 cm) filled with biodegrable expanded starch granules, the material (ampoules are wrapped in bubble wrap), reference sheets, invoice, packing note and report (upon request). The packaging materials are considered to be disposable without any special precautions.
Typical shipment weights vary from 0.2 to 5 kg depending on the order. The materials will be dispatched via DHL or air freight.

The packages are NOT regarded as radioactive under the IATA Dangerous Good Regulations3 (and are shipped in “Type A” packaging materials), therefore no special precautions need to be taken during the transportation of the shipment. The materials do not constitute any radiological hazard.
