The INLN has grown from five members in 2005, when it was founded as a joint initiative by the IAEA Library and the Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd (AECL), to forty four members coming from twenty seven countries.

Catalogues Online

OPACs

On the route to integration of research and retrieval techniques across nuclear information repositories and collections, the INLN offers a one access landing page to ten online library catalogues catering for nuclear and scientific literature, international standards and patents, best practice guidelines and all other forms of “grey” literature.

Membership

Membership

Nuclear libraries are invited to participate in the INLN and enjoy premium, global library services. The IAEA Library, acting as the Coordinating Library of the network, hosts the INLN website, further supported by nuclear libraries worldwide. As the Network evolves and matures, its strategic goals are negotiated and set by its Members, a manifestation of the Network’s solid democratic base.

Services

Research support and document delivery are by far the most popular services shared among INLN members. In 2011, more than 61% of all requests for information were related with scientific research or delivery of scientific content.

Activities

Activities

Since March 2013, the V.G. Khlopin Radium Institute - a subsidiary enterprise of the Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation (Rosatom) - is the latest member of the INLN. Radium Institute coordinates leading research into subjects that relate to nuclear power engineering, radioecology, and isotope production.
