IAEA Clarification on Syria

28 April 2011 | Vienna, Austria -- The following statement can be attributed to IAEA Spokesperson Gill Tudor:

"Director General Amano has been quoted in a news story as saying today that a site in Syria allegedly destroyed by Israel was a nuclear reactor under construction. The Director General did not say that the IAEA has reached the conclusion that the site was definitely a nuclear reactor. The IAEA continues to seek further information on the nature of the Dair Alzour site."
