Director of Public Information, IAEA
Serge Gas was officially appointed as Director of the Division of Public Information at the IAEA in September 2012.
From 2009 to 2012, he served at the Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD/NEA) as Chief of Cabinet of the Director-General and as the Head of the Central Secretariat, External Relations and Public Affairs.
At the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, he was promoted to Senior Programme Manager for nuclear remediation and emergency assistance activities in Russia and their communications aspects in 2006, after joining the Energy Group as a banker in 2004.
Graduating from the École Nationale d'Administration in 2001, he was nominated Head of the International Nuclear Affairs Bureau at the French Ministry of Industry where he notably represented the French Government in international forums and organisations, including with the IAEA.
Serge Gas began working for the French Ministry of Finance in 1991 as a Legal Counsellor.
