During his visit, at the invitation of German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Guido Westerwelle, the Director General attended a Conference of German Ambassadors and briefed them on the broad work of the Agency.

The Director General also had meetings with Minister Westerwelle, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economics and Technology, Mr. Stefan Kapferer, as well as senior officials from the Federal Chancellery, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry for the Environment, to discuss issues related to non-proliferation, nuclear security, nuclear safety, and the peaceful uses of nuclear technologies.
