Board of Governors to Begin June Deliberations

The IAEA Board of Governors is meeting at the Agency's headquarters, starting on 6 June.
Director General Yukiya Amano will open the meeting with an introductory statement, and is expected to hold a Press Conference on the afternoon of 6 June.
Reports by the Director General on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement and Relevant Provisions of Security Council Resolutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement in the Syrian Arab Republic, will be discussed by the Board.
Discussions are also expected on the IAEA's Annual Report for 2010; the Technical Cooperation Report for 2010; the Report of the Programme and Budget Committee; issues related to the Fukushima Daiichi accident; designation of members to serve on the Board in 2011-12; and issues relating to the 55th regular session of the General Conference.
