The world´s leading authorities on nuclear safeguards and verification examine the latest developments at the IAEA´s international symposium this October. The week´s challenging agenda covers safeguards technologies, approaches, concepts, and experience. The symposium opens 16 October at IAEA headquarters.
Sessions address three main challenges driving developments: promoting the wider implementation of safeguards agreements and additional protocols; review of experience in drawing safeguards conclusions; and analyzing procurement and supply networks concerning sensitive nuclear technologies and information.
The symposium is organized by the IAEA in cooperation with the European Safeguards Research and Development Association and the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management.
