More than 300 participants from over 70 countries are meeting at the IAEA headquarters between 12 and 16 May 2014 to discuss the development of human resources in the nuclear power industries. Participants include members of all key nuclear organizations in IAEA Member States, representatives from government ministries, operating organizations and regulatory bodies. The Conference will focus on the global challenges of capacity building, human resource development, education and training and nuclear knowledge management. IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Nuclear Energy, Alexander Bychkov, discusses the purpose and goals of the Conference.
